Ladder watchers beware! We arrive at Gatineau and notice that the set-up team is already finished their work. Does this happen magically? Does it happen while we are sleeping? Thank you to Slammers Blue, ShortStack, and Gator. Thanks also go to not-yet-recruited Jeff Wang (EGs 1st D-Class Champion in 2010). Many Slammers wore new spikes today as a result of a great fundraising idea. And who did we see on that team? Last year top rookie candidate (42 events), Charlie. His injured shoulder has not allowed him to Slam this year but everyone was happy to see him. Remember that ladder warning? Well, today, there are 31 upsets causing much movement on the rungs. Also today, we see 19 matches decided on the 18th hole, and another 19 decided on the 17th. Welcome to Match Play!

  • TC updates... Ladies C - Precious defeats Aqua to become the season’s 3rd Tour Champion crowned thus far. These are two of the rookie Slammettes. This makes it a clean sweep – three ladies finals/six rookie Slammettes. .. Super Senior - Chubs devastates Davestator to advance to the Final against Rexall... Ladies B – The ToothFairy/Chill final was scheduled for today. Due to the Club Championship taking precedence, these two couldn’t play in the same group, and will therefore reschedule their final.

  • It’s a good thing that Chef never listens when Grumpy speaks, or I would have to apologize to him for my announcement about the new #1. Malone and Woodsy combined were able to pry most of his fingers and one thumb off those ropes, however he managed to put together the optimum ingredients which while blended were the perfect recipe that enabled him to hang on by a nail on the 18th. Chef is still sitting on that top rung that he earned on September 4th. Since then, he has 19 wins and 3 draws. Who tries next to serve Chef another loss since his last one on August 22nd at eQuinelle? Trivia Question: Who was last to beat Chef?

  • Welcome to eight Slammers playing in their inaugural event. Flagondry 3-0, Fodder 1-1-1, Metrics won his only match, upsetting #50. Duke 1-1-1, G-Baby 1-1, upsetting #75, Rulz. JMoney, Lips and Gaspeboy were all 0-3. Note: Although Gaspeboy went 0-3, his loss was on his 17th hole, where he had a bogie. By the way, so did his three opponents, Chef, Malone and Woodsy.

  • Warning to all you benevolent volunteers. There is a bit of a commotion when the Doggie Master is allowed to play through. It is a good thing, when nature calls, to allow movement, but then doggie duties have to adjust. Today's 68 bone doggies go to Rexall (3), Woodsy (8), XTour (10), Lips or Sunny (12), and Juice (16). By the time you read this, I will have finished investigating and emailed the stakeholders.

  • Thank you Papa Malone, BearCat, Steamer, and Stevie Ray for your doggie duties.

  • A special thank you for a yeoman's job to our own man from the navy, Steamer. He sat at his table, was handed the skins sheets and agreed to do the summary. His meal was probably cold.
