Today the Tour, piggybacked on to the Fall Opener and the third & final round of Club EG's Club Championship. We arrive at the course and what do we see? We see that the flags are flying, the reserved parking signs are up. Volunteer co-ordinator Erin Rajhathy has her team all set to go. They are handling the registration, and handing out the QuickSnaps, so that now we can wear the shoes, we want. The people are all in place for the various contests. The staff at Gatineau were out en masse, helping everybody at bag drop - and loading the carts. I have never seen so much LOUDMOUTH and we even brought our own, without the megaphone.

  • TC matches - Dr Pepper is the first TC champ of the season. She upset defending three time ladies open (and ladies B in 2012) champ chill in the Ladies B final.

  • In the other TC match - TC Mixed B - Pukey J / Taz have advanced to the inaugural championship with their 17th hole 2 and 1 victory over IronMaiden / GolfGeek.

  • Crenshaw became the 41st Slammer to play his 200th event.

  • Two hundred events for Crenshaw, but one day he was a rookie. WELCOME you rookies that played in your first multi-format Slammer event. Shananagan, Pioneer, Tahee, OneEye and Stumpy (first ever event), here's hoping that we see you out more often.

  • EAGLE ALERT Look to the right and see that Dracula had one on hole 17, and that he had a skin, BUT he didn't have the skin for his eagle. He cut off The Game, who missed his albatross by about 4 inches. Did you know that this is not the first Slammer eagle cut-off? This isn't even the first time that eagles were cut off on this hole. Ticklar and TeeDub did it on July 4, 2010. Gatineau - this is our 60th event here, and have had EAGLES on par 3s, 4s, & par fives. We have eagled holes 4,7,9,10, & 17. Do you know who had the first eagle on Tour at Gatineau? It happened June 22, just 12 days before that first cut off by Ticklar / TeeDub
