We had a packed field today as 22 Slammers hit the links at Canadian. And the rest of the world was there too! A huge shout out to all of the Slammers for surviving the 6+ hour round today with limited frazzled nerves!! OK ... a little frazzeled as this crew usually sets a blistering place. But we were caught behind a full course of public slammers that have never heard of the term "pace of play". You will definitely see a theme to the Quotables section. That said, it was a great day and great competition as five TC matches were contested and there were a LOT of upsets (in the regular matches). The course was in great shape and the rough was brutal! Juice said it was worse than Stittsville (Glen Mar) in the morning which usually boasts some of the toughest rough in the city! And there were a lot of Slammers competing for spots on their respective Commish's Cup team hoping to make the top 10 in their region. It was a great day for match play! Big thanks to the Canadian for their hospitality. Hope we get more events there soon! And did you know that Club EG is hosting the Canada Day event there?
