A small group of eight (ominous number, see notables) slammers came out to enjoy the Stittsville course on a nice sunny but cooler day,. We found ourselves facing a 3 club wind (Knacker thought he was back in Ireland!), which made for a challenging day. This is tough track if you miss the fairway, and in the wind, that proved to be a big challenge. All four par 3's played straight into the wind, and greens were elusive. Only 1 of 4 hit and converted to a dog, so Pipeline took the entire doggie pot. He also added a par skin on #11, to add to Smallpack's 3 skins, so they are off to dinner as I write this. Three other skins by ComebackKid on #9, Knacker on #14 and AngryBird (in a rare happy moment) on #17.
I guess being short helps keep the ball out of the wind! Smallpack was the only Slammer to shoot below a C class score, and on the way took down three B's and grabbed 3 skins (all with pars), to earn 11 Stirling points. Great Playing!
