28 slammers bailed from this event in fear of wet weather. I must admit, I would have too, but being the dedicated OC I was joined by 4 other diehard slammers who drove through the heavy rain in Ottawa Saturday morning and made way to higher - dryer - land at Mountain Creek. There was relatively minimal rain, most of it fell Friday night, so the course was moist, but the conditions were very golfable. Just 5 slammers on the course and only one other golfer (member). What a day, some good scores and the round was done in less and 3.5 hours.
One of the nicest slammers on tour, and one of the fastest players on the tour as well! Duke continues with his excellent play (and one putts on the greens) to come in with an 81, a dog (at 13 feet) and a nice birdie on #13 to boot. Well done Duke!!
