There are lots of ways to gauge the currents that enveloped our event on Friday afternoon. The most accurate measurement comes from Environment Canada that said the winds were blowing with gusts as high as 80 km/h. But it wasn’t all bad. The benefit of playing with a howling wind is that, on occasion, the wind helps. All in all, as usual, I believe the Slammers got lucky. As bad as it felt to fight the wind all day we avoided the rains that seemed to be falling all around us for the most part and the sun tried to make an appearance by the last few holes. But those flags were certainly screaming today.
JackFlash was certainly Jumpin' at Dragonfly and why shouldn't he have rocked it as today was apparently the perfect storm for this Slammer. "His game was born in a crossfire hurricane, and he howled at his ball, at the driving rain, ooh yeah !". He defended against NikeMom and Razz and with the win over Cracker is now sitting in the #1 position in the C Division. A doggie tops off a great day - Congrats ! Jumpin' JackFlash is a g-g-gas.

Course Report
Dragonfly's slogan is "Worth the Drive"! and man o man is it ever ! From the very first hole through to the back patio we noticed how many improvements and how much work has gone into making this course as great as it can be for all that make the trek to play this fine course. Everything is truly A-1 and we can't wait to return on a warmer and less windy day to enjoy the new pergola and seating on the deck.

JackFlash is going back to Dragonfly today and unfortunately not by choice. He closed the back hatch to his SUV on his keys and and he got locked out. Razz gave him a ride to Arnprior and he'll be getting another set of keys to get back in his car today. Sucks
Some of the group enjoyed an after event dinner at Rocky Mountain Schnitzel House in Renfrew - very recommended and it was delicious. As we were leaving we ran into Jonathan and his family crew and he said he is looking forward to seeing the Slammers at Mountain Creek next Friday !
Knacker would be our other event winner today also with 13 points - One doggie - One third of the skins pot with the only bird in the field today and is now A1 ! Congrats
