After a year hiatus from Greensmere, the Slammer Tour happily returns to enjoy one of the nicest courses on the west side of Ottawa. For the return, the Tour played the Premiere course (the original) which has a links style front nine and a more difficult forest sculpted back nine. The Slammers managed to deal with the sprinkling rain for 13 holes when the sprinkles stop. This didn't seem to detract from some good golf and matches since only 3 matches of 30 went beyond the 16th hole to determine winners. Yes and we all remember the birch tree and tractor in the middle of the 17th fairway. Great matches, some personal bests, good golf and an enjoyable 19th hole. The Tour looks forward to playing the new Legacy course the next we are fortunate enough to hold an event at Greensmere. Thanks my fellow Slammers.
