At 11:17am on Saturday March 17th., 2012 Cuba stepped up and drove a picture perfect ball down fairway #1 at Prescott GC....kicking off the official start to the 2012 Slammer Tour season. It was a beautiful thing. The sun was out and the temps were in the mid teens with only a mild breeze to remind us to look up and appreciate the views of the St Lawrence seaway below. Even though we had what was considered a brief and relatively mild winter, the anticipation of seeing that first drive leave our clubs was almost unbearable. And it was St Patricks Day so there was little thought involved as we dressed for the day as to what color we would be wearing to the course. Green Slammer gear was a plenty.
