WEATHER (i hate discussing it)! RECORDS (I love discussing them)! Today we are golfing in the hottest Autumn HUMID X ever recorded in the National Capital Area. ..... round two of the Club EG Club Championships - know where to see the results? Go to the last notable. This will always be one of my favourite courses. WHY? that food is awesome, the staff are all very helpful, and some of those holes - well enough said. ROUND THREE is our annual Fall Opener and we will head over to Carleton to crown ten champions. Will they all be new?

  • BLUE UPDATE … first QUOTE will go to Blue, because some of you know that he was having some pains and left after nine. He is in the heart institute, join me in praying for one of the Tour's most like-able Slammers....Jack asked me to give you an update. He's having problems with WiFi connection in his room. They're doing bypass surgery Monday afternoon. He'll remain in hospital for 5-7 days afterward. I'll keep you posted. … DO YOUR PRAYERS!!! … Monday morning update / took bad turn / operation happening NOW at 10:00 a.m. he is under ... Monday at 4:00 … “everything went well!” … Monday at 9:00 p.m. He is breathing on his own and able to hang his feet over the bed. … Tuesday morning 9:00 a.m. “Nurse just called....he had a great night and continues to do very well. He will be moved to a room by noon.” Finding it hard to sleep on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, and as you can imagine - very PAINFUL! Wednesday night medication - to help him sleep - caused nightmares. Thursday morning he has gone for a walk with his nurse. MAY BE HOME SATURDAY. However on Saturday, they decided to keep him another day because and I quote Blue, "one of my incisions leaked a bit today and you guessed it, the colour of the blood was Blue!" he is home and resting well... we ALL hope to see you soon Jack

  • TC Match - ... B division semi final - a DRAW yesterday!- TBird & Lucky replay today. Down to the eighteenth hole and finally we have a winner. On their 36th hole (largest TC match of the season), Lucky (Daddy took my T-bird away!) advances to meet Shteeme in the FINAL!

  • QUICK SNAP doggies - We had 12 groups today. BUT QUICK SNAP only awarded two groups. Group three to Latey Dress and ZenGirl and group five to Skeeter & Lucky.

  • MILESTONE Group 3 - on hole 17 ZenGirl became the 51st Slammer all time to collect her 50th career doggy.

  • MILESTONE Group 4 - Nivlac entered today with 99 career losses. Pouf delivered the 100th on hole 14.

  • MILESTONE - Group 5 - Lucky became 31st to win his 700th career bone with his doggy on hole 13.

  • MILESTONE - Group 12 - Stevie Ray beat Bubba. That was Bubba's 400th loss and he became 22nd to reach it.

  • MILESTONES - Group 18 - Big Guy gave the Doggy Master his entry. That was his 400th contribution for the year, and moved him into third place..... then there is DIDDLEDOOB today. Double D lost his 700th plus bone so far this season. He passes Juice (2013) and Gator (2016). Only Mulder (9th place all time) left in the top ten besides the Doob (10th place) and that perrenial Casselview Cup winner.

  • RULE exchange. There was a very good conversation on the first tee as group 11 waited to tee off. it was about losing a ball that was apparently 'right there'. This OC would like to encourage you all to learn these things. Decide what YOUR action is and then if anybody has a problem - make a claim but lets keep it all fun. Never take it personal.
