Summer time and the living is easy with golf balls jumping and the fescue is high. This is what we wished for all year, summer golf. But this hot?...34.1 celsius was an all time Ottawa high for June 1s and we all felt the heat. But great summer conditions for golf. Half the field of 28 golfers were in CMPC matches. Interesting dogs and skins result as 5 dogs and 5 skins were won making each dog and each skin of equal value. Always great to have hot summer golf making for the wish to take a plunge in the pool or to have those extra pints on the 19th hole. The latter won and man did they taste good. Summer conditions at Pine View with lots of summer roll and no spring wetness. Greens were tricky ranging some which were slowish and some which were quick. Always nice to play in the heart of the city. And the service from the proshop, starter, marshalls, cart girls and the 19th hole was outstanding. Thank you Pine View.
