The wind was a howling! The staff was almost TOO helpful {can there be such a thing?} The food was very good, and the beer was cold! The course was in great shape, and the 36 slammers joined with 60 others for a FUNtastic day. The volunteers from EG were remarkable, especially as Joe & Fauve had to fill in for Malone, who was away on a business trip. What a team of Masters, Smitty and Ticklar were awesome in their presentations. Any of you aspiring Master wannabes, please do not take lessons from Ticklar on how to do the job. But do ask him how many bones he collected, and how many dogballs he picked up! How come those GPS' don't tell you which way the wind is going and at what speed?

  • Honourable mentions didn't get their due from the microphone, but here they are in print. Going 3-0 against a pretty impressive field was KaDaver, adding a bird to keep his average.

  • Wildcard also went 3-0, with a skinless bird and a dog.

  • Unranked first timer Shades defeated #66 and went 3-0.

  • Juice was undefeated and moved up 45 steps on the ladder.

  • Chuckie had his second HM in less than a week with his undefeated day and a couple of birds.

  • PinSeeker's record was 2-1, in an all "top 20" field, had a bird, a skin, and a dog {very close for a second}.

  • Our own Doggie Master attained a memourable milestone on the 6th hole. Smitty holed the third Slammer EAGLE of the season.

  • Sutty going up par 5 #16, aimed for the pin with his second shot and landed it within 5 feet ... {of the par 3 hole 17}.

  • NoCents wins closest to the pin, but not the dog = 3 jacked. He says "I was doing a Grumpy", then realized the missed putt cost him $29.50.
