It was a late June day not unlike many in previous years, heavily overcast with the threat of rain, not too hot and just a gentle breeze to keep the bugs at bay. There was nothing about the day to indicate to the residents of this quiet community the impending peril as a hoard of Slammers descended upon its manicured greenery to pay homage to the Lord of the Three Putt. Golf, like many challenges in life is a quest, a constant search for answers to questions you never thought you would ask.
