Not only was this the largest Executive Golf event of the season but it was also largest for the Tour {twice as large as the 6 group day} this season. Yes 48 Slammers were set to go including, 16 rookies. 5 of those were playing their inaugural event. We welcome back the 5 other players that came back to the Tour. Everybody challenged their whole foursome ... that's right 72 matches (7 ties), with 29 upsets. Mentioned earlier, there were returns, Grasshopper (in his first event since Aug. 23 2009) and a couple of our regulars, having some injury woes were able to compete. Good to see Lucky & PinSeeker play so well. The biggest return was seen skyward. Yes it is true, sunglasses were sported everywhere, as the smell of Banana Boat & Coppertone Sport was in the air. There was one sighting of an umbrella but THAT was being used for sun protection.

  • I am happy to see that the two "A" classers that whined about the OC's decision to play summer rules, both scored below their averages. The irony to me is that they both voted in favour of 'play the ball down' at an early season OC meeting.

  • Another slammer first? Three Slammers that begin with a 'Z' in the same event. I was asked if ZeeMan & ZeeGal are ZenGirl's parents = NO!

  • How about 6 Slammettes in the same event? If you were at the the Slammies last year, then you hope so. Where are Juice, Cash & Golden Girl?

  • Honourable mentions go to Chadderbox with three birds {only 8 others including none in the feature group}. Grasshopper's HM was for being the only one to get both a skin and a dog. 91 bones for his birdie on west 3.

  • The help! the day is impossible without them. Iron Maiden and Wilford for the tour and DARLENE WOOD, FAUVE GAUTHIER, LIZ PARKER, JOE LONG and our own CUBA ... MILLION THANX.
