WOW what an absolutely picture perfect Slammer event day! Sunny clear blue skies, with the temperature in the mid 20s, no wind and a spectacular golf course as the right components of a successful Slammer event. Could we ask for anything better as we bid a fond farewell to a wonderful summer of golf and move into the majestic fall season? From the welcome by club members Potter and Wins, the free range balls, the great condition of the course, some great golf and close matches and the country friendly hospitality of the 19th hole signified a great Slammer event. And WOW this course is a gem with fairways in carpet condition, fast and tricky well-conditioned greens, hilly terrain with spectacular vistas and some very enjoyable hole designs. Slammers that have played here before know that the course rewards Slammers that hit it straight and that manage to successfully putt on fast undulating greens. And the kids love this course too as the Slammers donated $17.50 in three putt money and residuals from 9 Slammers. The hospitality of the 19th hole capped off a wonderful Brockville event. So our fellow Slammers, if you have not played this gem before make your way out to Brockville Country Club on the next Slammer event and you won’t be disappointed with this challenging, picturesque course.
