Sixteen Slammers, some from as far away as Cornwall, came out to one of our favourite venues in spite of threatening cold and rain, and battled through an emotional event as one of our own was felled just before tee time. It's only a game, but it's not just a game.

  • Thanks to Chilly for bringing us heartening information mid round which served to lighten our understated concern. Thanks also Chilly for showing us how a Venza handles with 14 Slammers draped all over it.

  • In a TC "A" division semifinal, Juice beat ZenGirl on the 17th hole and advances.

  • A Slammer Tour salute to eQuinelle for shuffling the deck and getting us out ahead of our tee time, and for your outstanding and genuine hospitality.

  • Fifteen Slammers had 40 3 putts, and the Make a Wish Children's charity is .50 richer for every one.

  • Honourable mention to Raker for defeating Bookie for the first time ever, on the 18th hole. Raker also lost a 100 yard dash against his umbrella on the 7th fairway.

  • Thanks to Kadaver for his caligraphy on his really cool donation of the 1st Star prize of a Callaway Big Bertha driver head circa 1993 with a stub of a hickory shaft in the hosel.

  • Honourable mention to TinMan and AluminumMan for their epic 18 hole battle which saw them shoot identical scores...and tie!

  • In addition to DeeJay and Juice each winning 2 FitforeGolf skins, Cuba also had 2 with Motown and Mother getting the others, worth $8.

  • TanCo doggies were won by Juice who had 2 and Bookie with 1, and with the 13th hole not hit and subsequently 2 putted. Each was worth $23.
