It was a pleasant and relatively warm early spring day that greeted the Slammers at Mountain Creek for a noon start, but 5 holes in some strong winds warned of impending weather....two holes later and for the balance of the round, very hard and cold rain soaked the course and the Slammers to the bone. We all expected some light rains as predicted by the weatherman but not many were prepared for what was dealt to us and what we endured for most of the day. Some of these Slammers still had a great time puddle jumping though....as some excellent and notable scores were recorded along with some great matches....including none other than our new #1! Steamer becomes the 7th Slammer to take the #1 spot in the Slammer ranks.....and we are only 9 events into this 2011 season. It's going to be a great, great year!
