What a fabulous way to start the weekend by playing a Friday Slammer Tour event at CedarHill. Wonderful blue sunny skies, temperatures in the mid 20s, a course in great condition and a group of fun loving, golf addicted Slammers are the ingredients for a successful event. But there was a best ball tournament on the course today with lots of newbies enjoying the day. The front 9 was extremely slow finishing the first 3 holes in an hour and 15 minutes and the 9 in 3 hours. The motto of the day turned out to be Git-R-Done. The Slammers persevered and were rewarded with some public groups leaving after 9. The back 9 was finished a hair short of 2 hours. We finished just as dusk was settling in. Some great displays of golf and some close matches were recorded today. 12 of the 16 matches were upsets. Another great event with traditional Slammer Tour festivities on the 19th hole capped off another Slammer day on the links. Thanks to our fellow Slammers.
