It has been awhile since the Slammer Tour hosted an event at Prescott. Would you believe, the last Prescott event was the Ontario Slammer Tour spring opening event held on April 2, 2011. As we return for this fall event, one is torn between having beautiful fall foliage with its vivid colors and having clean green fairways and reasonable greens. Well we had both. Prescott blows and picks up leaves on a regular basis making fairways clean and the greens were fast in mid summer conditions. FANTASTIC!! The Slammers enjoyed a great fall golf event under clearing and later sunny skies. Fall Slammer golf is a state of mind recognizing that you will be soon ending the local golf season, snow will be coming in the future and appreciating those last dozen or so rounds before we bid a fond farewell to the 2011 golf season. Certainly the dozen Slammers in attendance today appreciated the outstanding fall conditions and the competitive Slammer golf.
