Rookies, rookies, rookies...its raining rookies. This event featured 7 rookies with a warm welcome to 4 first timers. The day started off with a bit of fog and a little chill in the air but as the day progressed we felt the warmth of a glorious spring day and the joy of a Slammer Tour event of match play golf. The groupings were arranged so as to have a Slammer vet along side our rookies. The course has done some renovations with a switch of nines and some work to bring water to 2 holes. Some heat and sun should bring this course to top notch condition within the month. The event was great from the 1st tee (old number 10 is now the new number 1) through to the 18th capped off with an enjoyable 19th hole. Ahh the bliss of having beer and wings on a patio again to recap the highlights of match play. That is what summer is all about...Slammer Tour match play golf on 18 and enjoying the 19th. And there was a draw for a Slammer Tour shirt won by Mountie! Thanks to all for coming out and making this a wonderful Thursday event and a warm welcome to our 7 rookies!!
