Rain, rain, go away, come again another day and it did go away after just light sprinkles. And it turn out to be a glorious sunny day. What a way to spend a Friday but playing Slammer Tour golf on one of the nicest and best conditioned courses in the Ottawa area. Some very close matches and some not so close ones. Lots of birdies and some great golf...and we all made it to the 19th hole to recount some great shots, reveal the doggies and skins and to honour our 3 stars... not to mention drink, eat and be merry! Thanks for a great day on the links Slamming!!

  • ROOKIE FEATURE: PokerFace plays his 3rd event in his Rookie season in an "A" group. He rises to the occassion takes KaDaver to the 18th, registers 3 birdies and takes home a skin. Nice!!

  • POP NOTE: the last group thought the 3rd group was slow, while the 3rd group thought the 2nd group was slow, while the 2nd group waited for the 1st group most of the day and the 1st group waited all day for a public foursome. Sometimes POP is beyond the Slammers control and is in the hands of the Marshall!!

  • NOTABLE: No 8's on number 2 was the challenge. At the end of the day over half of the Slammer field registered an 8 on #2. Would you believe 8 eights on 2!!

  • TAN CO DOGGIES: There was a litter of puppies today as all 6 puppies were claimed. These 12 bone pups were taken by Stevie Ray (#3 @16inches), Bookie (#5 @16ft), KidsClub (#8 @8ft), TadPole (#12 @ 4 ft), Compressor (#15 @18ft) and PointZero (#17 @21ft). Congrats!!

  • EVOLUTION PHYSIO SKINS: Lots of cutoffs as only 3 skins won today all with birdies. Skins @25 bones per were won by Stevie Ray, springlakes and PokerFace. Well done!!

  • NOTABLE: Grumpy enter todays matches in his foursome at 0-29-0 and left at 0-32-0!!

  • THANKS: to Rexall for doing a great job as Doggie Master and to Grumpy for his work as an ever entertaining Skin Master! THANK YOU!!
