What a beautiful day for event 3 of the Kevin Haime Junior Slammer Tour - bright sun with modest breezes. Four kids hit the Central and North Courses at the Manderley Golf Club and it proved to be a day of challenges for sure. But these were very much overshadowed by great shots and new achievements. Before the round, goals were set and with the exception of some putting woes, all were met. Lots was learned as well about match play and the excitement it creates as the matches unfold. We also got to see how to apply the rules of golf in a few unique situations. Great day overall!

The birds were not only in the trees today - there was a lot of tweeting around the greens too with Lil' Bulldog recording a birdie on the tough 3rd N hole, and Girl Power getting two (YES TWO) more on the long 5th N, and the short 8th N - would have been a heck of a scramble team today

The golf course won the doggy competition in a sweep with only two greens hit but you guessed it - doggies taken away with dreaded 3 putts

It was a spectacular day for skins because most were taken with birds and pars. There were 11 in total with 6 for Girl Power, 3 for Big T and 2 for Lil' Bulldog

Thanks as usual to the fans who came to watch the event, lending applause to both the first tee introductions and to the many spectacular drives, chips and putts.
