For this first week of fall, today was a spectacular autumn day for golf at the Slammers' favourite course. It was sunny and warm like summer when the Slammers arrived and the course conditions were outstanding. Start times were pushed back by almost 1/2 hour due to a morning frost delay. Definitely, it is fall. Slammers tend to score well at this course and 9 of the 12 Slammers scored in the 80s. But of course stroke play scores do not matter since we are playing in match play where anything can happen hole by hole. We enjoyed this spectacular day on the links Slamming the 18 holes. And we enjoyed the patio as we went through the beer and relaxation; the dogs, skins and star reports; and more beer. And with these outstanding conditions, it seems like we are enjoying an endless summer. A nice way to finish off a gorgeous fall day and a Slammer event.
