Hurricane Sandy was all the talk leading up to today's event at Equinelle and less than 24 hours before the event was to begin we only had six Slammers signed in to tee it up.....But as the entire Eastern seaboard suffered the wrath of Sandy we were weather channel watching here in Ottawa and the local forecast was calling for temps in the high teens with little to no rain.... Within hours this event went from a 6 man-2 group-unofficial skins event to a sold out 16 man-4 group-mid week Slammer extravaganza!! Incredible!

NOTABLE: Grumpy "The Stats Man" played in his 100th event today at Equinelle...yes, that's 100 events in this 2012 Slammer season! He is only the second player in Slammer history to hit this 100 event milestone and came close in 2010 when he played a total of 99 events that year. The current record for most events played in one season was set by Ticklar in 2009 at 101...Congrats to Grumpy as he plays out the week and will surely break and set the new record
