Well this is the final day and we return to Ottawa with 105 events played, one ace, one eagle, 23 birdies, many upsets - thus causing a lot of ladder movement, 30 slammers on the stats page, 11 rookies. All dogs but one were hit, and the leader only has two. Twenty-eight matches decided on the 18th hole, with another 25 decided on the seventeenth (great match play). And $183 in the pot for the kidz. I remind Slammers in all categories to notify us IF you successfully won a hat as #1 in your category.   • Although it was reported on Thursday, I believe that Cuba actually plays his 200th event today. As a result, he wins a Slammer jacket. Go to our 'join' page and see the various prizes awarded for playing your milestone match.

  • The BIG Hitters are having a lot of fun with each other – cutting off the other’s doggy on the island #17. But the best dog of the trip (except for Pearl’s ACE yesterday), belongs to TallStack. His ball stops a mere six inches away from the cup. Hey WolfMan and RayRay stop whining about the ball rolling off the back and into the water. Do you guys know that whining on the Slammer Tour costs a twonie to be thrown in the pot for the Make-A-Wish foundation?

  • Second star – was going to be AllyCat for leaving early and allowing three people to record upsets – but she was withdrawn the day before and therefore had no defaults.

  • This next notable is all about last year’s Ottawa Sun Rookie of the year. Gator skipped over seven Slammers on this trip and is now in 72nd place for most career events. His win over Gazzif was his 58th career win and also moved him into the top 100, and today’s dog was his career 11th tying him for that 100th spot. His points are now at 129 and good enough for 95th place. Wow one season and one week and already becoming a “most” slammer.

  • Others to make it onto the various TOP 100 lists are: McGoop after one week is already on the TOP100 list for most bones. Rio skipped over Bling, Blue & NoCents into 22nd place for career bones. Grumpy jumped ahead of Ruskie in the points race. With BearCat’s 14 points he vaulted ahead of Dazed, Sutty, Baldee, Woodsy, Turtle, & PinSeeker into 45th place. T-Bone, Gazzif, SunShine, Sunny & Malone all moved ahead of people in the loss column. Cuba’s last two wins tied and then passed proZee into 15th.

  • Today we saw the match between a couple of big scorers… LuvLife successfully defended against Kaki. Hole 14 was the only hole that they both had an eight, and fret not ladies – so did Sunny, ZenGirl & TallStack.

  • and as the last NOTABLE for the week, rookie Drifter had a birdie on the very first hole of the Tuesday event. That event was rained out, and that stat is long gone. Speaking of the Valley Boys, his fellow FlyBoy had his first birdie on 12 of the last day – it was good enough for a skin, and was also the first birdie for LuvLife.
