How much stake should we put in the weather man? The prediction was showers early and then -- ooooh -- thunderstorms later. Well, yes it was raining when the Slammers teed off, but it soon stopped and except for one brief strong shower that lasted all of two minutes, there wasn't a streak of lightning anywhere in sight! In fact toward the end, we basked in sunlight! Eleven Slammers had a great time. The lesson for today: If the weather looks iffy, forget the ifs!
