Welcome to Club EG's 2014 Opener. Once again the Slammer Tour is invited to participate in the Mother Company's season opening event. This time we have 56 registered Slammers. It is our 46th event of the season already and today we welcome RunBall and HawkEye to the ST family. They are both playing in their first event ever, For those of you keeping count back home, HawkEye joins us as a young one - just missing his junior career {now 20 yrs old). He is asking all the right questions and will be around for a long time. RunBall? New to this competitive format, but NOT new to all competition. He {and partner Kyle Lanthier} were the inaugural champions in the Ottawa Sun Scramble FlashPoint PhotoBooth D division. RunBall left two doggie balls on the par threes today - better luck next time (they were both beaten). The Marshes staff sure could not be accused of being sparse. WOW! the red hatted - blue shirted staff were everywhere. It was a great day, with many contests and prizes. The best prize of all was that EXCELLENT meal. I may be counting this as our best meal ever at one of these events.

  • TC matches today. In the PromoMedia B division, Duke outlasts The Game {it took nineteen holes} to advance to the next round.

  • In the Mixed TC division. PapaMalone & Rox eliminated Precious & Grumpy on their 14th hole. It was a shotgun start and they started on 11. With that first round victory - Papa & Rox get to take on the two time defending champs Chef & Juice.

  • Milestone alert. Chef beat ZenGirl to become the fifth Slammer to record 650 wins on Tour. PapaMalone won his 100th match and became 71st to do so.

  • Losses - Gator had his 250th today (24th to get it), Sunshine was 44th to get 150, Inch had his 100th loss (69th).

  • ShortStack's three wins earned him his 200th career point (81st).

  • The Game became the 66th Slammer to win his 25th skin.

  • What a team! To make this event possible, we need many hands to help. There were all of the Club EG volunteers doing their various duties. As for the Tour - we used a team of five to help the OC. BearCat, RipZone & StevieRay, you may have thought those tasks were minimal, but they were needed nonetheless. Thank You!

  • Those other two team members? First off - there is Lucky. I go out of my way to get him involved to assist. He was there early, collecting all of your dog and skins bones. He divided all of those bones to the 14 different people to win some, and I wonder if he got to eat.

  • Iron Maiden! What is an event without us seeing the first lady of the Tour doing her stuff. I am sure that she didnt eat a hot dinner. Any OC knows what it is like to do the skins entries. Well imagine doing it for the field of 56 and having just a bit of time to do so. Thank you Lil Sister.

  • So those Culligan Water doggie bones {43 each} were issued to the six people on your right and below a bit, and they were all pretty close. Bookie's on #5 was only 80 inches away, and four of the others were even closer. Duke's on #15 was the closest at 42 inches. Swanny left his doggie ball on #17 at 12'6", and couldn't believe anybody was closer. He was beaten in the very next foursome by PapaMalone who was the furthest winner of the day at 11'3"

  • The Dynamic Physio & Chiro skins went out to eight different people. They collected one skin each for 26 bones per.

  • This final notable - Guinness just returned from a holiday in Las Vegas. He forgot today's date. So look to the right and see that he got DQ. I had to stop Cuba, he loves to go to the Dairy Queen, and IF he knew that he he had an option! Just saying.
