  • Very impressive pace for a large event - let's all keep improving

  • TC matches – we have a winner in the mixed division semi-final. ShortStack & Lil Muffin, defeated chill & Dracula 2 and 1.. Moving forward to face Spud & Tooth Fairy for the championship.

  • It is not easy to choose three stars when twenty one Slammers go undefeated. None of the Slammers that won a dog, won a skin, and nobody won two of them. Therefore the five skins and four dogs went to nine different golfers. Other considerations, when choosing a star is the upsets in the match department. Well today – there were 48 of those. Who made the largest leaps up the Slammer Tour ladder? PukeyJ had three upsets. These thirteen had two upsets each: Danger, Flyer, Garbo, GaspeBoy, Happy Hooker, Hitchman, IronMaiden, Irons, Lil Muffin, ProZee, Rulz, Smitty & T-Bone. springlakes had the largest jump {224 rungs from 256 – 32}.

  • Hole in one club – Angry Bird bought in today. {have you heard about Malone's bet for next Saturday at eQuinelle?

  • No Toilet paper was issued today. Reminder that the system is defaulted to have all matches starting on hole one – if you really want to know when your match ended with someone and you DIDN’T start on hole one – then just go to the bottom of the page and change the option.

  • • Notable ONE - EAGLE ALERT. In only his 10th career event Happy Hooker gets his second eagle. There are only 22 Slammers that have more than two.

  • Notable TWO – Milestone alert: Smitty’s {11th to do so} 500th win happened on hole seventeen today. He beat both Swanny and pointZero. They both had a bogey to Smitty’s par. Ace lost to T-Bone today and became the 78th Slammer to lose 100 times.

  • Notable THREE – has been tried and tested – but regardless of what hole that you start on – you will never change the outcome in match play. Yes you may win 2 and 1 instead of ‘on the 18th’. A draw will always be a draw, and whether you start on the back nine – or in a shotgun start, the outcome will remain unchanged.

  • Notable FOUR - Gnat alert – No I don’t mean G1Nap who is better known as Nat. This is the course where our OC one day swallowed a gnat. His windpipe closed with the gnat in there. Panicking and starting to jump up and down – unable to breathe, and starting to worry. A couple of minutes of drowning, while standing up , out of water on the seventh tee box at a nine and dine event a few months ago – this is a true story. The couple that I golfed with were a doctor and his wife. Later she asked him – why didn’t you try to help. “There was nothing to do. If I would have approached – he would have probably decked me. He was just about to faint, and when he did the windpipe would have released and he would have been fine.” So Warning to all – many of us ate some gnats today, but if they go down the wrong pipe and it shuts – you will be OK as soon as you faint.

  • Notable FIVE - When can you be hitting two off the tee? Ask BearCat, because apparently he was hitting two off the tee on hole thirteen. If you don’t believe him. He had witnesses named PizzaMan, Sutty and The Judge.

  • Notable SIX – alarm clocks not working? LATE-ables? StevieRay, SunShine, Pommie, & Fodder, but ZenGirl wins {misses four holes}, as she all but eliminates herself from the Club Championships.

  • Notable SEVEN - Happy Hooker we thank you for all that you did and or offered to do today. Always walking around and asking “what can I do?” Official Volunteers ShortStack, Burnsy, Kookie, PapaMalone. Thank you to IronMaiden for handling the Culligan Water Doggie duties today.

  • Notable EIGHT – Today there was a Slammer that didn’t play our format. The Judge would have made Cuba’s best dressed list. His Kelly Green belt was a perfect match for his golf shirt seen under that black sweater.

  • Notable NINE - Rulz beat Lucky on 18 to move back to 5-5 career.

  • Notable TEN – he hates when we do stuff like this – and NOT ONLY because it is his birthday – but ‘what if we miss somebody else?”. Happy Birthday {one day late} to our organizer, the asst Commish, the VP of EG, our pro hisself – Malone has moved on up to the third floor..

  • Finally – this was a tough skins day (48 birdies - BUT the EAGLE wasn't cut-off), we had birds on 16 of 18 holes (which ties the second most for a Slammer event}. In the end our Dynamic Physio & Chiro skins went out to five deserving players – see list on the right.
