Wow! Our second driver Duke {NOT the Slammer), was pretty incredible. The best driver on the road as we drove through some terrible conditions. We made it and the first casualty was Grumpy. Not him, but his name. This dwarf changed and didn't become Doc or Sneezy. We already have a Happy & Bashful, and plenty of Dopeys. Grumpy is now Sleepy. Day one - arrive to a gorgeous looking (yes that is green) Pine Lakes. We battled through the coffee and breakfast wait, juggled a couple of tee times and off we went. Twenty golfers off the front nine and the other 16 started on the back. Still doing a survey but apparently Sleepy and BearCat were not the only ones who were hitting from the wrong tees. Only seven upsets in this first event in Myrtle, with Magnum making the biggest leap up the ladder.

  • Although nine Slammers went undefeated today, only two reached that perfect 3-0 accomplishment.

  • At least fourteen people paid their fee to go into the hole in one club. At this time – I am only aware that BearCat, LongIron, Grumpy, Kookie, & Roesy are five of them.

  • Toilet paper. Who won the first package? The Prez! The Commish! He did manage a par on #3 to half the hole. However McGoop won nine of the first ten holes. Another original Slammer (started in 2001), Magnum, also collected a package of toilet paper in the very next group. His came from the camera man Gadget.

  • On these trips we randomly choose teams to play a game for a prize. The game consists of a series of yes/no questions. The team that amasses the most points wins! Well that sheet lists the tee blocks on it. The ‘whites’ today were the tee blocks identified as #2. The Pine Lakes starter however gave his instructions and I wonder how many of US teed off on #3. I did – I wish the OC would have told me.

  • Speaking of that sheet with the questions, today’s question that caused the most confusion was … Did not make a three or better on #16.

  • Dogs today go out to Iron Maiden (2), Sunny (8), LongIron (11) and Gadget (16).

  • Finally - that fundraiser for Make-A-Wish - guess the best scores of McGoop, Malone, ShortStack, Grumpy, and your own. How are you doing? they had 69 - 77 - 97 - 112 and you. I have failed on two already.

  • The first milestone achieved on this trip - was when Potter beat Grumpy on hole 12. Potter became the 89th Slammer to earn his 100th win.
