Notables

  • TC match – T-bird took down LongIron 2and1 to advance to the third round of the B division (next opponent? Pukey J if there are no other upsets in the remaining 12 matches of the second round).

  • Hole in one club. Shorts and Diesel have been the latest two to join, making the pot over $920,

  • TP - Three packs of toilet paper were handed out today. Two can be read about in the second star paragraph. And the third right below.

  • Honourable Mention – Something that many people are unaware of. McGoop is the best golfer in the city. A great day on the course for any of us would just be considered a regular day at the office for the McGoop. Yes today, he went 3-0 (112th {122 events} time in his career, that he was undefeated) again. Yes he delivered the other pack of toilet paper (to IRONS) mentioned above. Yes he had three birds, two skins and a dog. He also had his 14th career eagle. For this OC to pick him as a star – I am looking for extra special stuff.

  • EAGLE ALERT – yes you noticed that McGoop had one today on hole 13. But earlier T-Bird had one on hole three. During the Dynamic Physio and Chiro report Iron (thank you) Maiden mentioned how this is the first time ever that she witnessed two twos on par fours in the same event (she has been in 604 events – thus seeing enough to say so).

  • The OC usually thanks their two volunteers, and yes IM was thanked. Now for the Culligan Water doggie master? He did say a very good commercial – but the rest? Jury is still out. Let it be known - he did provide that third quotable, though.

  • Questionable rule? So we all know that we don’t have provisionals on the Slammer Tour. The only exception is if you call it a hazard provisional. I wonder if you choose to – can you tee it up? Yes sure you can choose to hit three from the tee, but can you call it a provisional?

  • About the UPSETS – today we had 14 of them. Half were by the three stars, three were by the owner, one by the other guy shooting eagles, and the other three? My three brothers from Eastern Europe – know them?

  • PoP – Pace today was very good for the first two groups. Then we put out a threesome that never played here before (added the owner – but he didn’t want to be pushy), I think the Commissioner might be sending them a letter about hitting wrong balls, coming back to re-hit, and NOT keeping up to the group ahead of them.

  • MILESTONE – Irons became the 83rd Slammer to get his 50th career bird.
