Good time was had by all on the other side of the river in beautiful Buckingham! 24 Slammers enjoyed a postcard-perfect Sunday. The only clouds at tee off came from Jon-Jon's pipe and Bubba's stogie. Only one person got lost on the way to the course. I won't mention who because I don't want to embarrass Chuckie!

Notables

It is not every day you get to mark a 2 on a card where it says Par 5! Such is the case for Dr. Pepper's double eagle, er, birdie on hole #3.5. This odd skipping of the usual Par 5 fourth hole confused some and delighted others as the front 9 became a Par 33

Speaking of dogs -- with a modified course, there were six par 3's. Pepper gets two of them. Fingz and Sunny got one each. On hole #5 Iron Maiden whacked it to 28 inches (as measured by a woman, so it is accurate!) Two putts later, she had her dog. But that was a runner-up for best of the day: Turtle "played the slope" to knock it to 8 inches (as measured by a man, so who knows?) on #3. Wow. And he made he birdie for a dog! The dogs were 20 bones each!

As for skins, one each for Malone, Dr. Pepper, Clang, Iron Maiden, Chuckie and Popeye all worth 17 bones each -- with 3 for the kids

Great to see Chuckie back -- even if he was late for the first tee, twice!

Best drive of the day goes to Vayda Rajhathy, 8, who drove the Malones' cart (sometimes) during their close TC match vs Sunny/Lulu (who won on #18 to advance)

Malone's tee shot on 18 was one General Motors product away from going out of bounds!
