Day 2 of our Bingo weekend and the Slammers were up bright and early for a 7am breakfast buffet at the Double Tree Hilton in Binghamton along the Chenango and Susquehanna Rivers. Delish! Even the coffee is great! The buses were loaded up and ready to hit the road at 8:45am. Two exits later we arrived at the Conklin Players Club, our home course for the next two days. The weather was the first star today as the Slammers were treated to a full sunny day with temps in the high teens. The course was in spectacular condition and even though we were allowed to lift and clean our balls it was not needed. The fairways were plush and green and had dried up quite nicely after the long snowy winter. After the round we were treated to a lunch buffet and many were out on the patio enjoying the sun and admiring the rolling hill views of this fantastic course. Lunch was quick though as we wanted to make the most of this beautiful hot day...on the course! Many of us headed out for more golf fun and yes the Slammers closed the course today, putting out on the 18th green with only a tiny shimmer of light left in the sky. What a day!
