What a glorious day to be Slammin' today at Manderley. Ottawa approached a near record high as the temperature soared to 21C. The record high for this date was set in 1938 when it reached 22.8C. Needless to say any Slammer fortunate to be on the golf course reaped a wonderful fall day dividend in addition to great match play golf conditions. A few Slammers were in shorts, most were in short sleeve golf shirts, most forgot to bring sun screen but all basked in the warm of the sunshine. Lots of jockeying going on as there is lots of movement in the ranks. Out of 24 matches today, 19 are upsets. And we finished the event by doing the windup at the 19th hole on the patio. Great weather, enjoyable Slammers and some of these guys were good. Thanks for the wonderful event my fellow Slammers and we give thanks for this great day. Your OC, KC
