Victoria Day was celebrated with Cherry Bombs down the fairway, Bottle Rocket drives, Long Snakey Putts, and Roman Candle Sandshots at Dragon Fly in this first half of a double header. The weather could not have been more co-operative to wrap up a glorious long weekend. And it was especially nice to see so many parent/child combos showing up at the links. McGoop and PhatZo (look out she has the family genes), F6Noob and YoungGun (who started his college fund early with a dog) and Gator and AliG(ator) who was alot of fun to cart with. I actually got to play in groupings with each of the youngsters today and can say that the future of golf in Ottawa is looking bright. All three were a pleasure to play a round of golf with. Hat tip to the Dfly staff and did I mention they have a Slammer Burger Platter?? (I think I did the last time I OC'd here too.) Let's hope every long weekend this summer is as great as this one was.

  • Thank you Irons for presenting the QuickSnap Doggie Report. Dogs were taken by Teflon on hole 5 (4') and hole 7(4'), by YoungGun on 13 (20') and Clang on 18 (6'). Each dog was worth a cool 35 bones!!

  • Thank you Iron Maiden for presenting the RealFans Skin Report. Skins were won by F6Noob on holes 4 and 7, by Gong show on hole 5 (with an Eagle no less!!), by Clang on hole 13, McGoop on 14, Smitty on 16 and TripleM on 17. Skins were worth 17 bones each.
