Oh Perth. How I love thee let me count the ways. 1) It was raining when we arrived but stopped before we teed off. 2) It started raining just as we were wrapping up the report on the 19th tee which means we were dry for 18 holes. 3) Your cart girl showed up several times. 4) Your fairways were lush. 5) Your greens were pristine. 6) Your gourgeous Tay river tempted us to jump in. 7) Your hot dogs were tasty. 8) The Triple Bogey beer glasses look like they have a golf ball in the bottom of the glass. I could go on and on. What a fantastic day on the course. Thanks to the staff who hosted this group of 15 Slammers. ................................................................................................. Mulder Out.

  • QUICKSNAP DOGGIE REPORT: 3 of 4 dogs were claimed today. Hole 3 (3') was ChipMeIn, Hole 8 was not claimed, Hole 11 was Pepilepu (11'), and our newest Slammer Shadow took hole 15 (at 10'). Thank you ChipMeIn for taking on the Dog responsibilities and presenting the report. Each dog was worth a hefty 25 bones

  • BROKER4TICKETS SKINS REPORT: There were 8 Skins today each worth 9 bones. Intruder on holes 1 and 3, Juice on hole 6, kricket on hole 2, Irons on hole 9, ChipMeIn on hole 13, Bagger on hole 17 and Pepilepu on hole 18. Thanks go out to Grumpy for being voluntold to do the skins report.

  • NOTABLE:The ONLY right thing to say when you drive the ball into the group in front of you is "I'm very sorry."

  • NOTABLE:Perth's front 9 is the oldest played 9 holes in Canada.

  • NOTABLE: Cindy, who runs the Cafe Hideaway in Perth is a friend of Shadow. Maybe we name drop and see how close based on the discount we get!!

  • NOTABLE: It would take a LOT of cutting and knife sharpening and re-sharpening to cut Mulder down to Kricket's size.

  • NOTABLE: If you find where the Tay river crosses Glen Tay Road and hop in the river on a bunch of tubes/floaties with a bunch of your friends and a floating cooler of cold beer, you can float it down for about 2 hours until you get to the bridge at Hole 3 of the Perth Golf Course and enjoy a splendid time. You might even chat with a few Slammers as you pass the par 3 hole 15 and perhaps your cooler gets away from you and those Slammers almost score big time by fishing it out of the water. Big Guy almost jumped in and joined the gang on an extra floatee. In the image below the yellow arrow is where you can get in the river and ride it to the red arrow.
