The owner, named Jim said Wyncote is Welsh meaning wind and short form for cottage. Wyncote is another of those Welsh words. Many wondered how to pronounce it. We have learned that some words are pronounced a little differently. Like our buddy Steel Crazy - John Davies (Welsh pronunciation is davis). Wyncote is pronounced win - cott. He even showed me the Wind Cottage at the entrance to the property.
