Welcome to the 47th event hosted here at Brockville Country Club. Founded in 1914, and NOT by Potter as he was only born the following year! Today is our 156th local outdoor event of the season. Another new Slammer joined the family and WELCOME to 3wd (NO! It is not three wheel drive - there are 4 wheels on his car). Think of a golf club! We arrived to a parking lot looking fuller than usual, including a large camper parked near the putting green. Hats off to those that took a cab home, last night! “Hey David what is going on?” “Last night was the final event for our men’s night (a BBQ). By the way if anybody is looking for the barbecue it is in between the teeblocks of holes 3 & 11! But I don’t know where the dunk tank has gone to. As for the clowns, I did keep hearing Susan Bradley (Mrs BigGuy), referring to them sitting at our table afterwards. Happy Birthday Irons(15th) & MsDemeanor(14th). ... THANK YOU!

  • A little confusion at the event on the 19th hole. All corrected here but due to an audit of the live scoring / card scoring ONLY happening after the event - we had to strip Zoey of his star, had erroneously named the aulderphart of being third ... NOW they are all correct over there on the right.

  • We always try to provide some levity and jocularity at these events. Before, during and afterwards at the 19th hole. The goal is never to bring any embarrassment to any one Slammer, so I will not mention who the guilty party is for this occurrence. It was a hot and humid day and all Slammers chose carts except the newbie 3wd, but he was finally convinced. It was so hot that a Slammer who will not be named (but the last two syllables of his four syllable name sound very much like our director), decided that he felt sorry for his ball for lying in the sun all day that he provided shade by parking atop it to cool it down. We know that he is a nice guy BUT his fellow playing partners actually tell the story a little differently. They KNEW better as they helped look for the lost dimpled object for many minutes! It seems the young driver should have let the auld phart (somebody please ask Macdahustla what that is called in Scotland) drive.

  • MILESTONE ALERT: Pommie beats Bubba for his 500th career point.

  • Much to the chagrin of Potter, I always call this a tough course (average Slammer score here is 94.67) – especially for anyone playing it for the first time. Congratulations to today’s C/D field. More than half of them had their best BCC score of their Slammer Tour career here today, and nobody shot their worst! Of the 35 courses that we have more than 200 rounds at only three (Whitetail, Playa Paraiso in Mexico, & Conklin in Binghamton) have a higher average score.

  • There are no Masters to thank (sorry and thanx PM68), no sponsors to mention. The winners are all mentioned in the player stats to the right.

  • Signature Hole picture is right below the last notable, and congratulations to NK Bear for getting the dog on the Tour's third hardest par three.

  • Pommie is at every event! - When was the last time that you were at an event and didn't hear that name - even if he isn't there. Thank you hole seven with all that rock face on the right - when we hit driver and the other rock face to the left of the green.
