When the event closed for registration and challenges at 10pm last night there was a fivesome of Slammers in the field and for the first time in my 12+ years of OCing I decided to put the one balanced foursome of C division Slammers off the first tee and sit this one out. It just made sense to let this fun group have their fun without me. After yesterday's rains I think everyone appreciated the nice sunny day and although we could feel the first cool hints of fall the sun was out and accompanied the Slammers throughout their round. A Big congrats to Bainsey for taking the CMPC "C" division 2020 title! Keep staying safe out there!
Tim "Bainsey" Baines is not new to the winners circle but this is his first CMPC win. Thirty-two players started out in this division and Bainsey's victims included Stevie Ray (round 1), Bookie (round 2), Tyler Aldercotte (round 3 final 8), Mark Wu (round 4 semis) and Monkee in today's finals. It must have been quite the match to watch as they squared 5 of the last 6 holes and Bainsey took the win on the final hole of the day to clinch the 2020 title! Great match, gentlemen! Congrats!
