A total of 11 Slammers didn't know what to expect from a course called Crooked Creek. Upon arrival we discovered that the original farmhouse was converted to the clubhouse, and the 1/2 century old barn is still standing for golf cart storage and accessories. This course offered a blend of challenging holes spread out through fields of tall fescue and made it even more challenging with the wind today for some lengthy holes. Next time the Slammer tour returns to this course, tee-box assignments will need to be adjusted. A perfect fall day amongst a great group of Slammers and thanks to all who made the long drive to just enjoy a friendly yet competitive outing.
Video report from HELFMThe HELFM (pronounced as: Hellfum) shot a 50 on the front 9 but came out swinging on the back 9 with a stellar 39. His back 9 performance comeback enabled him to defeat Stymie, Duke and Cracker for a 3-0 record. In addition to this perfect record, he also got 1 birdie, 1 skin and 1 dog to end his great day for a total of 14 Stirling points.

A nicely layed-out links course with tall fescue. Greens were very bumpy. Duke and HELFM agreed that that best looking fairway on the course was on the 18th hole.
