Driving to Casselview, the home of the Commish Cup, I’m thinking tunes, musical groups and Slammers. Slammers groups are much like musical groups and it’s a wonderful day for tunes and match play golf. First group on the tee is the McBommies singing “Misunderstood”. The second is the Progenitors with their hit "CMPC Leaving Our Mark". The third group is the Functionnaires with “Walk the Line”. The next at the tee is Shades and the Slammettes playing “Leader of the Pack?” And bringing up the rear is the final group the B-Tones with “We Are The Champions”. Rock on Slammers. It was a super day for Slammer and CMPC golf with excellent course condtions, little to no rain, some terrific golf results and many happy Slammers. Thank you my fellow Slammers. Your OC, KC.
Eric Albert, playing in a City Match Play Championship Parent Child B match, has an excellent match play showing. He defeats Eric Gerestein and BernardG in singles matches. Eric and Marc Albert win their CMPC match. Eric not only plays well in match play but also registers the low round in the field for stroke play. In addition, he registers 2 birdies and takes 1 of the only 2 skins won today. Congratulations today and good luck in the next round!
