It was a great day to be on the golf course today with perfect sunny and dry summer weather and a morning start to the Slammer event. Stittsville Golf with tree lined fairways and water hazards that you must cross and some narrow fairways always provides interesting challenges. Tiny bugs flying around are faces provided additional challenges. The Slammers capitalized on the conditions and the weather to enjoy a day of Slammin'. The 19th hole on the 2nd floor patio allowed us to have another in-person wrap-up. Thank you my fellow Slammers for such a great day. Your OC, KC.
CaptainHook, playing in his 3rd event in his rookie season, came out to play some match play golf. And play he did. CaptainHook playing in a CMPC C division match advances over Lightning. He defeats Fairway Phil and Spike as well. All of his matches are over on or before the 16th hole. In addition, he takes home one of the 3 dogs of the day. Congratulations!

Course Report
Stittsville Golf Course is in outstanding condition with manicured fairways and fast, true greens. Flags can be removed but there is no need to given the course has one of the best Covid ball return systems in the region. Rakes and ball washers should be out the next time the Slammers return. Lots of pesky tiny bugs flying around our faces over the majority of the holes. Hopefully, they are gone the next time we play. Thank you Stittsville Golf Course!!
