An absolutely gorgeous sunny spring day that was forecasted and so two full groups of Slammers filled the only spots we could get at Prescott today and made the road trip south of the city. We just came off an exciting Masters weekend but this OC was not aware that the town of Prescott was formally known as Augusta township almost 200 years ago. Augusta Golf Club in Prescott, ON .... there's a thought. I’d like to thank Stymie for attaching / including the Wiki in his event comments as I did a read and discovered this little fact.
Stymie is a perennial Slammer and it's looking like this will be a lucky season for him as he begins his 13th year on Tour with wins across the board! Playing in his 216th event he defends his B1 rank in fine style with the wins against Gator, Koala and Pepilepu - and he only needed 17 holes to do it! Maybe it was the solid start he had to his day as he was the only Slammer to par the 1st hole and he takes the doggie home as he attacks the pin and sticks it closer than anyone else on the first par 3 of the day. Want to get shivers? Stymie wins today's event... with 13 Stirling Johnston points. He also won the event at Crooked Creek last week with 13 Stirling Johnston points. Will this trend continue for this fine Slammer, in this, his 13th season on Tour? As SRR would say, spooky! I just say, Stymielicious !

Course Report
Are we surprised ? Each year when we trek to Prescott for the first rounds of the season we are awestruck by the great spring conditions and today's conditions were even better than expected. Fantastic quick greens, fairways that are greening up nicely, all around super staff, a great new menu in the pub and that view of the St Lawrence can never be beat.
