It was a great turnout at the Marshes with 22 Slammers coming out, with 7 CMPC matches taking place. There were a few pars on the hardest hole in the city (#2) but the first money was won on #3 by HELFM taking home the dog. Next hole #4 par 5, Andy hits a big drive, a lay up, sticks the wedge to 6 feet and hits the birdie for a skin. Peach had a great day, with maybe his highlight of a 3 foot dog. The skin was cut off though. All the way to hole 8, Duke with a 3 foot dog but misses the birdie. Mac ends up draining his putt and wins the skin. With a great shot over the water on hole 12 LannyK sticks a 7 foot doggie! With a couple holes left, Coxy needed a big shot and hit one on 15 with an 8 foot dog but misses the putt that Dashing Dave ends up hitting for a skin. Last up was Duke with his 2nd dog of the day but missing his 2nd birdie putt. Koala comes up clutch with the birdie and skin, which ends up helping him win the whole event! Congrats Koala. There were 7 CMPC matches taking place with some really close ones. HELFM & Carrot Top take down the boss (Rulz and his partner Peach) in the Pairs Combo div to move on to the semis. In the Super Senior, the Hero Stan defeats Paul to move on to the quarters. In the Pairs A, Dashing Dave & Hewey, take down Maiden and Duke to move on to the finals. GolfMD advances his way to the quarter finals with an A win vs LannyK. In the Open, Mac comes out with the best score of the day, 4 birdies and defeats P to move on to the semis. Last but not least, Roesy decided to play both his Open and A CMPC matches. It was back and forth the entire day but with a couple bouncing putts, pulls off both wins on hole 18 to advanced to the Open semis and A quarters. Thanks to all who came out!
Koala has been on fire as of late and keeps it rolling at the Marshes! Going 2-1, defeating an Open player, shooting a solid 83, with 1 of only 4 skins (#17) in a very tough field! Good enough for 12 Stirling Points and the event winner, yet again! Have yourself a day!
