Four groups of Slammers headed East (and FingZ headed West from Laval) to take in a mid afternoon Friday event at Casselview and I'm pretty sure the commute was not on a single players mind as being the biggest obstacle they would encounter. Very early this morning an accident closed the 417 east bound forcing all traffic to exit at Casselman and causing a parking lot of delays. But the Slammers took it in stride and we were able to get everyone out on the course as players trickled in off the hwy and headed straight out with no warm up as the set foursomes came together. Happy we got to play especially with this perfect hot sunny weather that is forecasted to follow us through the weekend - Thank you to all!
Melly Dee was playing in her second career Slammer event and if today's display of pin seeking is indicative of what is to be expected from this newly minted Slammer then I can't wait to see what she does in her next event! First par three ... Mel. Second par three ... Mel. Our group remarked, is this to be a Mel doggie sweep today? Two puppies went home with her along with mega points for the wins against Pepilepu and Chevy. And as we sat around on the 19th hole we noticed her doggie balls must have been the key to her success as she seemed quite prepared to drop a few on the greens today! Congrats and keep up the great playing!

Course Report
The staff at Casselview never cease to amaze with their incredible customer service and support of the Slammer Tour. From 8:30 this morning they had to deal with this very tough situation with customers arriving at the course very frustrated and tired. Some, including many of our players, had spent two to two and a half hours on the hwy trying to make it to the course. Thank you to everyone at Casselview, you're all rock stars! And I will add that the course is in absolutely spectacular condition and ready for the Commish's Cup which will take place two weeks from tomorrow!
