It was an enjoyable partially sunny/cloudy summer afternoon at the Meadows with no showers or rain. A half an hour delayed start to the event as there was a double booking. But we all took it in stride so as to enjoy the Slammer event. Playing North/South provided challenges for the Slammer Tour with tree lined North and the 18 dotted with lots of hazards. Target golf with strategic thinking was the theme of the day. Always a treat to play Slammer match play golf on a summer Friday afternoon. Lots of successful defences and numerous upsets. CMPC Pairs B semi-final with Chadderbox and Poochi advancing to the final with a win over Grogu and Mean Jean. Congrats all. Five dogs and 5 skins won today. Birdies were flying as 24 birdies were registered and would you believe an eagle was soaring today. Simply a wonderful day playing the Slammer Tour. Your OC, KC.
Big Wig has an outstanding day on the Tour. Just fantastic. Big Wig goes 3-0 taking out Spicy P, Pipeline and Sprinkler. He registers 3 sweet birdies and takes home a skin. And he shoots a whopping 10 strokes below his median recording the low score of the day. EAGLE ALERT! Yes Big Wig does the feat and records an eagle on hole #4 par 5.
