Welcome to the 2024 Slammer Tour Golf season as we played the 2nd event of the new season. It was a classic autumn golf day at Rockland. Forecast called for a sunny day while it turned out overcast but dry. Rockland is in fantastic condition just perfect for Slammer match play golf. Of the 24 matches in play a third were upsets while 16 were successful defences. B1 Koala and C1 Grasshopper played so well as to retain their crowns and their #1 ranks. Seven skins won as well as the 5 dogs. Hoping for many more weather friendly Slammer autumn events like today. Thank you my fellow Slammers for such an enjoyable event. Your OC, KC.
The Matheson Group Realty event winner racked up a solid 17 points to take the crown. Koala is on fire as this is the 2nd day in a row he takes the event winner status, and he has been playing injured. He successfully defends the lofty B1 rank by going undefeated against Stuart H, Gator and Dannat. Add to his match play success he scores 2 birdies, takes home 2 skins and wins a dog. A true dedicated Slammer he takes home a point for being our Doggie Master. Koala, the 2023 Matheson Group Realty points winner, takes a commanding and earlier lead in the 2024 season.
