It was an absolutely gorgeous day out there with lots of sun and no wind. Clothing layers came off quickly. What a day to kick off the Ottawa region outdoor Slammer season for the calendar year 2024 after that relatively short winter. I think we set a Slammer record for the earliest Ottawa event in a calendar year. A bit wet on the golf course but what do we expect for this time of the year. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves just for being outside, swinging the sticks and hitting the ball in match play golf. The Ottawa golfing season is just starting!!! yippee ki-yay!
Koala is the Matheson Group Realty event winner today as he plays some outstanding Slammer golf. He moved to the A division late fall and man is he ever playing well. Today he defeats Duke, Shades and Big Red. Yessiree he is the new #1 in the A division. He has 1 birdie and wins 2 skins. Koala has a solid Slammer performance with the low round of the day and his best score in his last 20 Slammer rounds. Congratulations Koala on your outstanding performance.

Cedar Glen Golf was spring wet as expected but hey we are playing outdoor golf this early. Greens were reasonable for a course that had just recently open. And as always the service at the proshop and 19th was outstanding. Hats of to the staff at Cedar Glen.

Have you noticed that Duke and Baloo are leading the Matheson Group Realty Points Leaderboard and are already in the Matheson Group 200 Club. WOW congratulations on making it there so fast.
Baloo registers as a C Slammer, gets moved to the B division and today shoots an A score!! Baloo would have won all his match vs all the Bs, all the Cs and three of the 4 As. Baloo would have only lost to the new A1, Koala. Great job Baloo.
