We had 14 Slammers out today at Metcalfe under what looked like threatening skies of rain, but, aside from a few sprinkles before tee-off, we all made it back to the clubhouse safely inside before the downpour came. There were two City Match-Play games on the schedule today. First in Pairs B it was Terence Nelligan (Chipmein) and Peter Tremblay (T-Bird) defeating Jamie Burritt and Jean-Michel Lafrance and in the Mixed C, although off to a slow start, it was Rick and Cathy Turner (Gator and Gatorette) getting the win over Mitchell Miranda (Meeetch) and Kelly Langton (who if she slams again may have the nickname Kelly150).
So, the last time I played at an event with Tiger (Mont Cascades), his word of the day to describe his game was "horrible". Well, today's event was definitely not horrible, in fact it was an awesome game. Beating his two opponents and racking up 3 skins (2 of which were birdies), shooting 5 below his median with a score of 85 and taking home 1 dog, Tiger is our event winner today! Congrats!
