What a great golf day at the Meadows. Forecast was for plus 30 and late day storms. Turned out with overcast skies and a slight breeze, the day was so manageable. Course was in great condition providing the opportunity to score well. Almost two thirds of the field shot better than their median making for some great matches. Three CMPC matches today with Pouf advancing to the semi-finals in the Super Senior division, Nicky and Gardie earning a spot to the finals in the Mixed C division and Flynnstone and Melly Dee going to the finals in the Mixed A division. Congratulations. For Slammer matches successful defences out numbered upsets by 24 to 8. Four skins won all with birdies but lots of cut-off skins. Five doggies found a home with the Slammers. Overall a great day to be playing match play Slammer golf. And it did storm but while we were doing the wrapup on the 19th hole. Thank you golf gods. Your OC, KC.
Mint Jelly has a super Slammer performance today to become the Matheson Realty event winner. Playing in his 1st Slammer event, Mint Jelly introduces himself to the tour by defeating fellow B Slammers Mongo, Guyzer and Tiger and jumps from the spot of unranked to the top 10 in the B division. That's great. He wins a skins, scores 2 birdies and volunteers as the Skin Master. And he has a great round by registering a 78 in his 1st Slammer event. Congratulations on the super Slammer performance and a big welcome to the Slammer Tour.
