What a day of surprises. This morning 10 Slammers were scheduled to play Rockland. By tee off 5 players joined us from Hawkesbury since carts were not available at Hawkesbury while at Rockland were available. Another Slammer inskied this morning after seeing a spot open. We teed off later than expected since the course was backed up on the front nine. And while on the course it was on and off, on and off rain and showers. But you know we all managed to enjoy ourselves while playing Slammer golf. CMPC Senior Open had Bagpipes advancing to the semis with his win. CMPC Ladies Open has Melly Dee capturing the the Ladies Open crown as she wins on the 18th hole. Congratulations. It appears that the better players know how to adjust and play in the rain as witness by their performance. Half of the field played better than their median. A four skin day as Ruth our Skin Master announced on the 19th hole and a double dog day for two Slammers. Thanks all for another memorable Slammer event. Your OC, KC.
Tiny is the Matheson Realty event winner. He puts on quite a display of great Slammer golf. He goes 3 and 0 as he takes down Shades, Bagpipes and Hero. Tiny jumps up the ranking ladder to become the new A1. He wins 2 skins, takes home 2 dogs and scores a birdie. Tiny shoots a 74 a whopping 9 strokes below his median and under these wet conditions. And he is the big bones winner for the day. Great Slammer performance, Tiny. Congratulations.
