We got an early start as there was no one in front of us. A bit chilly as we started the event but later it turn cold as we got 2 periods of cold showers. This Slammer grouping are a hearty bunch as they stuck it out through sun, clouds, showers and cold. Lots of close competitive matches and the C division was the feature today for the Run to Number One. Conditions were tough as only two Slammers managed to score in the 80s. But hey, this is match play golf where only the outcome of your matches count. C1 changed hand today. Only 5 of 6 doggies were taken and 8 skins won with 6 won with pars. The 19th hole was well attended as Slammers wanted to recount the plays of the day, ask questions about the run for number one, discuss Slammer issues and get warmed up after some prolong could. What a hearty bunch of Slammers. Thank you my fellow Slammers for making this such a manageable day at Stonebridge. Your OC, KC.
Gardie has an outstanding performance today and becomes Matheson Realty event winner. He literally takes the run for number 1 seriously as he comes running up to the 1st tee to make his tee time. He defeats KidsClub, Gatorette and Nicky and is crowned the new C1. He is locked in as C1 for this weekend's finale. He wins a dog, scores a birdie and wins a skin. OMG he been with the Tour for 4 years, starting in the D division, making his way to C and is playing so well he is on the cusp of the B division. Great performance by Gardie. Congratulations!!
